About Min Röst

Min Röst is an independent and politically unaffiliated initiative that works to increase voter turnout and give more people the knowledge, tools and opportunity to take part in democracy and influence their future. The project was initiated by the Gothenburg Mosque and Hammarkullen Mosque.

Why does Min Röst exist?

Many people want to vote but feel unsure about what the parties stand for, how political issues affect everyday life or how to compare the alternatives. Min Röst makes it easier to understand, compare and take a position.

The voting compass is designed to be clear, simple and accessible. It focuses on policy issues and shows how your answers relate to the parties’ own positions.

Our guiding principle

Min Röst does not tell you which party to vote for. Our aim is to give you a better understanding so that you can make a more informed decision yourself.

The choice is yours. The vote is yours. Our task is to make the information easier to understand.

How we work

1. We start with policy issues

The questions concern policy areas that affect people’s everyday lives, such as schools, safety, welfare, democracy and integration.

2. We examine the parties’ answers

The parties’ positions are based on their own programmes, public statements and answers where available.

3. We present the result clearly

You receive an overview showing how close your answers are to the parties’ positions. The result is not a definitive answer.
